A Tornado of Emotions

The storm has passed and I’ve gently landed in a clear field. Flowers all around me. Mountains in the far distance to my left and the crashing forces of the ocean over my other shoulder. I sit up and breathe. Oh my god, the air tastes incredible. Tears are rushing into my eyes. I don’t feel sad. I feel reborn. The tears are not running. They just sit and reflect photons. Voices of birds and universal music is surrounding me. The vast and seamlessly empty space I'm centered in holds a feeling of deep connectedness. Space to move and explore. Room to be free in. I close my eyes and become one with the experience. An indistinguishable, mumbling voice passes by. Justin Bieber sings ‘love yourself’ right behind me. Not unusual but definitely a unique experience. When the song changes to a tune I don’t know, a moped with a broken tail pipe approaches. The driver is holding the stirring bar with one hand while he’s checking his fanny pack for his phone. He’s hardly paying attention to where he’s going. Still, his driving seems effortlessly confident. A piercing horn vacuums the moment's attention. Its gravity crushes the rusty sound of the old two-wheeler for an inch of a second and overtakes the audible world completely before silence engulfs everything…
