I don’t care what you think. The purpose of my experience is not your well-being. It’s my well-being. I always come first. It has to be that way. We have to take care of ourselves first. Only then, we can honestly take care of others. For too long I’ve been giving away my energy to others. I’ve invested it into people I want to help, people I like and people I love. But over time it always snapped back at me. I’ve been giving my energy away expecting nothing in return from these people. This I still the way to do it. Don't expect. It was hard at times. For sure. The difference now is, that I don’t expect anything at all anymore. I once told my friend how I want to live my life in happiness. He replied, ‘I’m not trying to live in happiness. I want to live in peace.’
I agree. Peace is a good one. Peace is a foundation to build on. Peace means acceptance. Happiness is great, but peace is divine. As long as I take care of myself first, I can be at peace. When I'm at peace I can truly be in service. In service of myself and in service of others.
